Randy B. Hecht

As principal of Aphra Communications, ZMH project partner Randy B. Hecht has more than two decades of experience as a communications strategist for publicly-traded companies in the U.S. and abroad. She is a specialist in guiding clients toward effective, appropriate communication with stakeholders of many cultures and in creating narratives that address issues of concern during times of transition or turbulence. The messaging challenges she has worked with corporations to negotiate have encompassed workforce reductions and layoffs, C-suite dismissals and succession planning, mergers and acquisitions, shareholder proposal messaging, news that breaks prior to the official company announcement, and framing of financial results that fell short of projections due to economic downturns or political upheaval in key market regions or as a result of the impact of the global pandemic.

Her body of work includes annual reports, ESG/CSR reports, CEO and CFO speeches and statements, competitive analyses, press releases, and investor content and communications. Within the spheres of journalism and content, her credits include Corporate Secretary, IR Magazine, CFO Research Services (a division of The Economist Intelligence Unit), Entrepreneur, and Smart Money Custom Solutions (a joint venture of Hearst and Dow Jones). She also has extensive experience as an editorial consultant to global NGOs.
